ALBANY, N.Y. (May 4, 2015) — Eastwyck Village in North Greenbush (1720 Best Road), one of the Capital Region’s newest retirement living communities, will host an open house Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The events are open to the public and will feature tours of the facility including the clubhouse, spacious one- and two-bedroom apartments, indoor swimming pool and community garden.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to talk with current residents and learn about Eastwyck’s hallmark “Senior Engaged Life Program,” which offers residents a wealth of opportunities to maintain good health and expand their social circles.

“The foundation of Eastwyck Village is the belief that the key to aging well is living well,” said Adam DeSantis, community relations manager. “We create activities and programs to keep our residents mentally and socially active so that they can achieve this.”

“The most common response we receive from residents is, ‘I wish I had done this sooner,’” added DeSantis. “Here at Eastwyck, our residents live independently and comfortably and can finally do those things they want to do without being burdened by home upkeep. Our open house provides members of the community a glimpse of the unique experience we have to offer.”

Eastwyck Village offers sweeping views of the Hudson River Valley, the city of Albany and the Helderberg Mountains. Within minutes of the New York State Thruway and Adirondack Northway, the community is centrally located near shopping centers, tourist attractions and historic sites.
